Indians Place 2nd in Hamlin Relays at Hardin-Simmons

Comanche Indians finished second in the Hamlin Relays at Hardin-Simmons University track in Abilene with nine 2-A teams competing. Harold Perkins won a second in the 220 yard dash and Richard Brooks took second in the 440, with Eldon Swindle second in the mile and Ken Wilson second in the pole vault. The 440 and mile relays also placed just behind the winners. Junior teams advance to Brownwood meet Friday.

Chief To Move Next Week Into New Building

The Comanche Chief will relocate to 2059 West Grand near the square next week. The paper, in its 7th year of continuous publication and Comanche County’s oldest business institution, leaves the K-P Lodge Building after 47 years. The new 65 by 82 foot stucco brick and glass building doubles floor space. open house timing to be announced for late April. The move will take about two days.
