The Comyn track team captured the Class A division of the Comanche County Interscholastic League meet. Comanche finished second, De Leon third, Sidney fourth, and Gustine fifth. Sipe Springs won Class B with 74 points to Proctor 34 and Hasse 10. Comyn totaled 64 points while De Leon had 32 and Sidney 17. Coker of Comanche was high point man in Class A with 16 points. Two Arrested After Wreck Saturday Night
Willie Stahnke and Paul Stahnke were arrested after a Saturday night crash on the Comanche Priddy highway. Willie was charged with driving while intoxicated and Paul with drunkenness. Frankie Wells and Mrs. S. C. Wells were involved. Mrs. Wells sustained shock and bruises. Willie posted 750 dollars bond. Paul paid a 17 dollar fine.

Early cotton stamp payments planned in 1941 program
A. E. Boyd, chairman of the Comanche County AAA committee, says cotton stamps for the 1941 Supplementary Cotton Program will be issued this summer after performance checks. Early issuance could begin in late June in some Texas counties, with most stamps distributed in July and August. Farmers earn 10 cents per pound for reduced cotton acreage, with farm-by-farm or multi-farm limits up to 50 dollars per farmer.
