ZIP code use urged by Comanche postmaster for mail handling
Comanche postmaster Jim Carspenter urged residents to use ZIP code numbers on letters and parcels. The system aims to automate mail handling as volumes rise, reducing costs and potential future rate increases. ZIP numbers should appear on the same line as city and state, two spaces from the state, with street address needed for large cities. The post office offers to provide ZIP lists at no charge upon request.
