Three men die in Old Dominion Mine disaster
A gas-filled upper tunnel at Old Dominion Mine in Colville claims the lives of Peter Mac Dougal George Shannon and Ed Sheldon. Ben Lambert survives after dragging himself out with help. Al Lynch and Dr Wells respond but find life extinct. The men hailed from Spokane and had worked at the mine less than a month.
