A crosscut at the Silver Mountain Mining Co. near Daisy reports silver ore in an eight foot vein averaging $218 per ton with higher pockets up to $900. The Seelye brothers have invested $85,000 and plan a concentrator as the mine expands. Nearby at the C N Smith homestead, silver ore of $800 per ton is found, with a 30 foot shaft showing an eight foot wide ledge and $800 silver assays.
