County Court Action Dismisses City Charge in Tagnecker Case
In Platte County Court Friday Michael Tagnecker faced two speeding cases. A motion to dismiss on the city complaint was granted after a not guilty plea. In the state case he pled guilty to 69 mph in a 56 zone, disputing a 67 in a 55 ticket. The case was continued until Friday. Kenneth Peter quit was replaced on probation for six months and jailed three days on a probation revocation motion.

Charges pending against Omahan in shoot-out with trooper
An Omahan, James J. Hamman a 34 year old from Omaha, faces pending charges after a high speed incident with a state patrol. Hamman remained in critical condition with head wounds at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha. State trooper Michael Underhill said he stopped Hamman for speeding near the interchange of Nebraska 31 and 10.

Three Airmen Die in Wreck Near Barksdale AFB
In Shreveport Louisiana three airmen died in a one car crash at a dead end. Driver Thomas P Huebert 20 of Omaha Nebraska and passengers Jeffery Lynn Wildrick 15 of Peru Indiana and Gerald Eugene Daigle 20 of Towas Lu were identified by authorities. Huebert reportedly did not see the dead end and braked abruptly causing the car to skid.
