Two Die in Area Accidents In Nebraska
United Press International reports two people died in separate Nebraska roadway crashes on Wednesday. Lester Murphy, 60, of Madison, died in a pickup truck and car collision near Madison. Patricia Letourneau, 36, of Concordia Kansas, died when the car she rode in was struck by a Union Pacific freight train near Shelby. Her husband Jerome Letourneau, 38, injured, was listed in stable condition later. The train dragged the car about 70 feet after the 12:30 pm crossing collision near US 81 and Nebraska 92.
