69 Schools in Lincoln Marching Band Festival Oct 30
The nation’s oldest and largest marching band festival will draw 69 high school bands and about 4500 musicians to Pershing Municipal Auditorium in Lincoln on Saturday Oct 30. Ten area schools entered. judges include Phillip Hewitt and Ward Rounds. Proceeds support scholarships for Nebraska college music study.

Mental Health Center survey shows high client satisfaction
A survey of former clients by the Northern Nebraska Comprehensive Mental Health Center reports 97 percent felt helped by services, 96 percent would recommend the center, and most were satisfied with their therapists. Sixty two percent discontinued after problem resolution. fees are guided by a uniform schedule with waivers possible for those unable to pay. The center serves Culuntus and fifteen other Northeast Nebraska communities.

Energy saver workshop scheduled in Columbus
A Home Energy Saver Workshop is set for 7 30 p m Thursday October 28 at the Nebraska Public Power District auditorium in Columbus. Larry Riegal of the State Energy Office will lead the session. The Central Nebraska Community Action Agency with the State Energy Office organized the event, moved from October 21 to October 28.
