UAW voting remained too close to call on a tentative three year contract to end Ford’s four week strike. Production workers vote appeared to favor the pact by more than two to one, but skilled tradesmen their decisions could overturn the result. Lakeview High School Board conducted routine business. A Sunday practice ban with prior board approval was discussed, Title IX compliance review by Supt. Kamm and Dedrickson assigned, and a proposal allowing Dist 5R students to join the elementary band was approved. A basketball practice schedule was set: 6:30 pm Wednesday and 8 pm Monday Tuesday Thursday.
