Mrs. Leonard Tobel of Leigh will serve on the courtesy and resolutions committee at the 67th annual convention of District WE Federation of Women's Clubs to be held in Stanton, hosted by Stanton County Federation of Women's Club, Oct. 13. Noon luncheon honors juniors and past District ITE presidents. Banquet speaker is Mrs. Les Anderson of Omaha, chair of the Govern's Council to Keep Nebraska Beautiful.

Mrs. W W Rynearson of Denver says her eldest son Rev Larr Rynearson of Friendswood Texas has accepted a call in the Missouri Synod Tatheran Church at Eau Claire Wisconsin where he served as vicare during Concordia Seminary studies in St Louis He was born in Madison and educated in Leigh Zion Lutheran Parochial School Leigh Public School St Johns Winfield Kansas and Concordia Seminary in St Louis The Rev Rynearson’s early schooling included Zion and Leigh schools and he later attended St Johns in Winfield Kansas
Leigh Nebraska notes an Alaska focus as John Trust of Clarkson shares experiences from the past summer. He joined 12 United Church of Christ and United Presbyterian high school youths from Nebraska who completed work and dedicated Hospitality House in Fairbanks for teen girls. Mrs. F C Nelson leads with hostesses Marold Conrad Henry Beck Walter Folken George Kun Arne Nelson.
Funeral services were conducted Monday September 28 at Lodgepole for Ben Callies of Chappel a former Leigh resident who died September 23 He is survived by sisters and brothers including Mrs Herbert Casenbrook of Columbus Ed Callies Mrs John C Ehlers and Mrs Ewald Hake of Leigh
