California Quickie Marriages Take Root at Outpost Junction
In Outpost Junction California a drive in wedding chapel operates with no license or appointments charging 25 dollars plus extra for rings garter photos and tape records. Donna and Julian Greta run the facility alongside a self styled church The Friends Fellowship of America. They offer ceremonies anywhere from the chapel to Mount Baldy and an Indian blanket in the Mojave. The law allows such unions under civil code paragraph 213 but secrecy is permitted. The setup attracts locals and travelers alike and raises concerns about potential abuse.
