Golfing enthusiast starts young at 83 in Columbus
Columbus resident Augie Schutt began golf at age 70 while painting crews in California. Now 83, he plays daily when not courting cold, prefers Van Berg Municipal in mornings and Schuyler in winter, hitting in the upper 40s with drives about 180 to 200 yards. He plans to enter a senior tournament next year and still chases his first hole in one.
