A high pressure ridge brought modest warmth to Nebraska today but colder conditions are forecast tonight as a cold front moves across the state. The front is expected to enter the Panhandle near midnight and push into western Iowa by Wednesday morning. After the front passes, temperatures should rise slightly in eastern Nebraska. Eastern and south-central Nebraska saw mostly cloudy skies at midday, with the Panhandle partly cloudy and the rest sunny. Midday temperatures ranged from the 30s to the low 40s, while overnight lows spanned 17 to 35 degrees across sites like Valentine and South Sioux City.
