Gunman kills guard outside French palace during cabinet meeting

ILA Halts Shipping in Three Key Ports
The International Longshoremen's Association halted all shipping in Baltimore Philadelphia and New Orleans expanding a strike ordered by President Teddy Gleason to pressure shippers. The move targets about 4000 dock workers in Baltimore while Galveston Dock workers will operate under a three year contract. Final grid contest ends in deadlock at tie
The Telegram reports its final football grid contest ended in a tie between Joe Beld a one year old Columbus Senior High student and Columbus resident Lynn Hogbing. Both missed three of 20 games and predicted Michigan 17 Ohio State 14 in the tie-breaker. Michigan won the Big Ten clash 146. Held and Hogbing shared a 25 dollar prize with an extra 5 dollars to Joe for naming the Cornhusker Mystery Man Oudious Lee.
