Extension club holds gathering at Mrs Matzen home

ST. EDWARD The West Mill Extension Club met Tuesday at the home of Mrs. Maurice Matzen. Mrs. John Reeg and Mrs. Matzen led a lesson on quick mix quest rolls. Lunch used the finished products. Officers for the coming year were elected: President Mrs. R. J. Cumming, Vice president Mrs. Ford Pearson, Secretary-Treasurer Mrs. Don Cumming, Publicity Mrs. Wayne Mucky, Music Leader Mrs. John Reeg, Citizenship Mrs. Winifred Pearson, Reading Mrs. Gene Cumming, Health Mrs. August Zimmerman, Safety Mrs. Dave Snavely. Hobels Bring Family Guests to Leigh for Burial

Two families visit Leigh as Mr and Mrs Adolph Hobel host relatives from Chula Vista and Santa Ana. They met in Omaha to accompany the body of Belle Hobel for burial at Leigh Cemetery. An earlier note credits Pennsylvania soldiers with introducing rye whiskey to America.
