Jerome A. Andrulonis, 44, of Latham, N.Y., a rabies vaccine researcher for the state Health Department, developed rabies despite a booster and antibodies. He was hospitalized in serious condition at Albany Medical Center after his April 20 admission, the first human rabies case in the state in 24 years.
