Steam engines kept alive by Snyder’s home hobby trio
Columbus area resident Wilford Snyder, a retired farmer, built three working model steam engines from memory. The 1894 Case replica powers an irrigating pump, while a Westinghouse upright boiler and a 6 inch boiler engine showcase his lifelong fascination. Mrs. Snyder aided tightening parts and wiping grease as they preserved these vintage machines in their yard.
