Judge opens mail storm as Hughes will case moves ahead
LAS VEGAS UPI Judge Keith Hayes says he has received incredible mail and threats regarding the Howard Hughes will. He notes many letters claim a stake in the estate, while one caller warned the judge he will die. Hayes, a former state legislator, says claimants should file legal papers and warns false claims are felonies. He mentions a $125 million one sixteenth bequest to the Mormon church and expects the matter to require fulltime attention for years.
