A mild weather outlook for Nebraska's state primary predicts a dry warm front moving east by Tuesday evening. North Platte highs reach 68 to 78 across Scottsbluff and Chadron with 80s possible at Chadron. overnight lows in the 40s. Tuesday's highs expected from the low 70s in the east to the low 80s in western areas.
United Press International reports Boone County residents vote on a hospital project that would include an emergency room with three examination rooms a central dining area and a waiting room described in the ballot.
The church said the Democratic nomination fight isn't over and the Nebraska primary could sway the race. He urged energy independence with coal, nuclear, solar and geothermal, criticized current rates as unfair, and pressed for humility and stronger leadership in federal government.
Five break ins were investigated by Columbus Police Saturday morning. Four downtown businesses were hit Perkins New and Used Cars Brenner Furniture Kirby Vacuum Company and an alley window at Nor thern Propane in the Industrial Park. About 810 dollars worth of tools and equipment were reported stolen. The report links to unrelated national political commentary about welfare reform and President Johnson’s influence. Lori Petersen, 17, of Alliance, died Saturday from injuries after a one car crash southeast of Gordon. The Nebraska State Patrol reported the accident occurred in rural Scotts Bluff County as investigators examined possible factors.

In Udine Italy officials warned the death toll from the Thursday quake would exceed 1000 as two aftershocks struck. Police said 815 bodies were recovered and 523 identified with about 1300 injured across two dozen mountain communities.
