Torrential rains reported with 2 inch rainfall. Temperatures ranged from 1 to 9 minutes after sunrise to 2.20 inches of rain, with a high around 76 and a low of 58. Comparison shows 95 high and 38 low from the previous year. Sunrise at 9:08 and sunset at 2:20.
Torrential rains totaling 2.20 inches pushed June's moisture to 5.21 inches, well above normal. Unseasonably cool conditions persist with temperatures in the 50s, and a late afternoon high near 70 in the northwest and 80 in the southeast, as a severe storm rattles Columbus.

Loup Power District crews begin weekday outages from 8 am to 5 pm Thursday through next week. Northeast Columbus residents along Pershing Road to 18th Avenue and Monastery Road to 38th Street, Maple Road sides affected, as transformers are installed to improve service. Not all homes will lose power at once.
