The accident northwest of Columbus Friday evening was the second fatal mishap in Platte County in 1996. Joseph Noble, 3908 21st Street, identified as the victim of the car pickup crash. Arlys Wehrer noted among county tractor incidents northeast of Ii wawara with several other farm related deaths reported in 1976 in Platte County and surrounding area. The last traffic fatality in Columbus was in April 1974.
