Local man killed in accident in Brighton Colorado
A Nebraska man Bennie R Meierding died in a Thursday crash of his semi truck on Adams County road. The truck missed a turn on Colorado 76, struck a guard rail, overturned, and plunged down a 30 foot embankment. State patrolman William L McNeill noted the incident increases the 1978 Colorado traffic fatality toll to 288.

Mrs. Frank Olson and her three adult children announced at a Maryland news conference they will sue the CIA for several million dollars in punitive and compensatory damages over the 1953 death of Frank Olson.
