Coroner's jury views West Side Panther raid apartment

A UPI report says a coroner's jury visited the West Side apartment where the December 4 raid left two Black Panthers dead. Police testimony described the shootout as officers returning fire after a shotgun blast from a Black woman. Seven survivors faced charges of attempted murder and aggravated battery. Brendan Jarris, 18, identified as the shotgun wielder, appeared at the inquest but did not testify. two Panthers refused to testify.

Space agency aims for third try to launch insured satellite

Cape Kennedy officials said the space agency will attempt a third launch tonight to put the Comsat Corporation's Intelsat 9 into orbit, the first insured against rocket failure.
