Exon Ask Strike for Farm Parity Talks With Bergland

United Press International reports Agriculture Secretary Bergland agreed to meet with farm strike leaders to discuss price support strategies. He will brief President Carter but did not guarantee a formal meeting. November incomes rise as housing starts dip in U S

Personal income jumped 0.9 percent in November while housing starts fell 5.4 percent from October. New home and apartment construction at 21 million units annual rate was 23 percent above a year earlier, with permits rising to 1.89 million. Wages and manufacturing payrolls climbed as employment and earnings improved.
