Wreck Near Schuyler Claims Two Lives
A two-vehicle crash four miles east of Schuyler killed LeRoy A. Saalfeld and his wife Pearl Saalfeld of rural North Bend. Three others were injured and transferred to Omaha hospitals. The westbound Dufek pickup and the eastbound Aldrich car sideswiped before a head-on collision with the Saalfelds. State Patrol Trooper Robert Meyer investigated the 12:18 a.m. crash.
