Pius defense backfires as CHS edges Lincoln Lincoln
Discoverette coach Steve Klutman lauded defensive pressure and guard play in a 49-39 Columbus victory over Lincoln Pius. Lincoln trailed 12-6 after a Columbus first quarter and cut the gap in the second before foul trouble and turnovers hurt in the second half. Cattan, the 5-9 center, was targeted by Lincoln’s defense and scored 27 last year as she turned her ankle later, prompting substitutions.
