Roy Wilkins a life devoted to civil rights amid critics
Roy Wilkins now 73 or 74 by August 30 remains active as NAACP executive secretary after 24 years at the post. He cites a lifelong record from Minnesota days to NAACP leadership and warns against tying civil rights to Vietnam.
