New American Bible Translation to Be Published Next Month
A modern English Bible translation by Catholic scholars, titled the New American Bible, completes two years of work and will be issued next month. It uses Hebrew Greek and Aramaic texts, replacing the Douay Rheims Challoner version, with twelve publishers licensed and St Anthony Guild Press first to publish September 30.
