The study breaks the cost into 18.5 cents to the baker 5.3 to the retailer 4.8 to the farmer 13 to nonfarm inputs and 0.7 to the flour miller.
Nuane Foote of the Nebraska Grain Improvement Association announced entry blanks and rules for the yield contests are available through local Extension agents. Classes cover wheat, corn, grain sorghum and soybeans with oats and barley in one class. Wheat entries must weight 10 pounds and are due September 28. other classes due November 23 with a one pound sample.
