Expanded security for Governor Exon in Nebraska
The Nebraska state patrol has increased protection for Gov. J. J. Exon from two to five troopers. Three troopers were added for duty during the 1972 legislative session and a trooper recently stopped youths attempting to steal the state flag in front of the governor’s mansion. It is undecided if the extras will serve in the 1973 legislature, and protection around the Capitol and mansion remains continuous.
