The Columbus Zone of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League held a spring workshop April 19 at a local Lutheran church. Opening devotions covered Creation and Preservation. district report and missions notes followed. a Bible study on The Prodigal Son was led by Pastor Ernest Smith. A noon luncheon, gift exchanges, and a tour plans were shared. ninety five members attended including two youth attendees. The afternoon featured a presentation on How the Bible Came to Be and Canon. closing devotions concluded the event.

The couple wed March 30, 1927, in the new Trinity Church, and now reside on a Boone County farm.
