Mrs Motycka Rites Planned at Leigh Friday
Funeral services for Meta Motycka 64 of Greeley Colorado will be at Zion Lutheran Church Leigh with Rev Carl Efrail officiating. Burial in parish cemetery. She died Tuesday at Korton Nursing Home Greeley after six years illness. Born Meta Beckendorf in Leigh September 7 1906 she studied at Weigh High School graduating 1924 and taught locally. She and Emil Motycka ran the Motycka Meat Market then lived in Buffalo New York and Leigh before moving to Seneca New York in 1963. After her husband’s death in 1968 she moved to Greeley. Survivors include two daughters Muriel Kaes and Audrey Malena two sons Thomas Bodilanta and Lyle Motycka four grandchildren four sisters.

Wet weather stretched from the southwest through the Great Plains to the Pacific Coast with thunderstorms in South Dakota flooding Main Street in Pierre and Lemmon. Tornado warnings were issued in Iowa and Arkansas counties while snow capped Fraser California and Lakeview Oregon. Officials planned drought-damage tour in Texas and Oklahoma as warmth spread eastward and a pelican pouch was noted to hold 3.6 gallons.
