An AP report indicates a presidential study team says federal energy regulation could change. The findings reference sweeping reorganizations and potential deregulation affecting power agencies and oversight, with emphasis on how regulation might shift across sectors and agencies.
A report released by Agile Energy Commission cites federal state and local coordination failures in energy regulation. It proposes a National Energy Council to set nationwide objectives, coordinate licensing data, and review agency actions, warning that absence of coordination could let the federal government preempt siting decisions.
Former vice president Spiro Agnew vacated his last federal offices opposite the White House after resigning in October for tax evasion. The Auctioneers Association will hold its annual convention May 5 in Broken Row. An Auctioneer of the Year award will be presented at the convention banquet. Henry Buss serves as secretary. The session includes workshops on real estate at public auction markets and general ranch and farm sales.
An open house at CNNCC Hastings is set for Sunday April 28 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on campus.
