Ford asks Congress for nearly 1 billion for South Vietnam

U.S. Pilot Killed As Khmer Rouge Offensive Advances
In Phnom Penh a UPI report says a U.S. pilot for Sorya Airlines was killed when a rocket hit his DC3 during a flight to Kompong Chhang. The crash followed damage from shrapnel as Khmer Rouge rebels neared the capital, marking the first U.S. fatality in the insurgency since December 31.
