Ferris and brother of Johns Ferris, both prominent local figures. Shelbyville Republican.
Promptly adjusted insurance on the burned Washington Indiana schoolhouse shows a $25,000 policy with a loss of $20,115 on the building and $2,500 on contents. The Prussian National, company editor Kinney used to travel for, carried $4,000. Trustees pleased with the settlement.
Charlie Wagner's school in Columbus Township No 5 closed Tuesday with a night program in the school house despite rain. A large audience attended. the teacher received a fine gift from the trustee and patrons. Wagner served efficiently with a successful term and good relations with pupils.
The handsome new First Christian church at 622 Topeka avenue will be dedicated tomorrow morning with elaborate services. Dr Z T Sweeney of Columbus will preach on The Power of God and The Certainties in Religion in the evening. He has been Ottoman commissioner to the World's Fair and has dedicated over 100 churches. A fine musical program will feature a chorus of sacred anthems and a double aria led by Prof S A Easton.

The remains of Mrs Hank Hill were laid to rest at Garland Brook after a two o clock funeral from the family residence. Rev Dr Curtiss delivered comforting remarks as Davidson Henderson had charge of the remains and odorless vault cleaning was done by Fred Dahn. Buck left yesterday for a two week visit with friends in Ander SO.
