Stewart, confined to his room by a severe pleurisy, is improving. Mrs. Helen Howe seeks care from Dr. Kirkpatrick in Columbus. Luther plans a new house with plastering soon. Remirger and cow shipments include lumber to Indianapolis and Boston. Two cows died from eating green clover. The second Sunday excursion will pass the road next Sunday. Uncle Wesley Simmons remains confined with little improvement.
John Dunlap of this city is named track foreman of section 23 and has relocated his family to Greenwood to start his new duties. Henry Harms and wife arrived from Chattaqua Kansas to visit their son Henry T at the East Columbus gardiner. The Harmes are aged and traveled well. Next week the campment plans to be with us and invites patrons countywide to visit and get acquainted. Weather fair tonight with increasing clouds Thursday.
An Indiana Canners Association panel in Indianapolis, led by J. T. Polk of Greenwood, discussed contract adjustments amid rising canned goods prices. Polk said price hikes reflect general market upward trends and surging demand, with tomatoes and corn witnessing a strong boom as orders pile up.
Sixteen eleven inch coast defense mortars are mounted at Sandy Hook near New York City with similar batteries at several seaports. The mortars sit in deep pits and are hidden from enemies while ready to rain tons of projectiles on the decks of attacking ships.
The semi centennial of the Knights Templar Masonry in Indiana will be celebrated at the Scottish Rite temple in Indianapolis next Friday evening with commanderies from Terre Haute Frankfort Lafayette Kokomo Greenfield Knightstown Richmond Shelbyville Franklin and other areas. A parade of Sir Knights will be reviewed by grand commandery officers followed by a visit to Camp Mount and a grand banquet at the temple.

About 65 Jonesville residents travel to Columbus for court. J H Hodapp made a business trip to town last Wednesday. John Ross and family visited Jonesville friends Sunday evening. Mrs Dr Rains and Rev Jones from Columbus preached at the M E church. The women of the Christian church plan a meeting next Friday afternoon.

Mr and Mrs Campbell traveled to Indianapolis this morning followed by Mr and Mrs Marshall Reeves. Eugene Tuttle and you joined a trip to Louisville for the races, with additional Indianapolis departure noted.
