Crumps Theatre hosts the 1897 graduating class exercises marking the first year of the school’s history with children of former graduates in attendance.
The Columbus High School annual commencement, celebrating the 25th anniversary of its first graduating class, fills Crump's theatre with supporters. The class of 97 numbers 111 boys and 203 girls, including children of former graduates, and features graduates with topics ranging from citizenship to national issues. The program includes addresses by Supt. Carnagey and Principal Wertz, plus readings by Nellie Gysie and Susie Wilson, in a ceremony highlighting education and good citizenship.
