Weslow & Co at The White House announces a blowout sale on handkerchiefs mufflers plush goods and toys to clear stock before Christmas. Prices cut to attract quick turnover with mufflers from 15c to 1.50 and silk and wool mufflers at 49c, while four elegant Combination Suites drop to 9.75 from 16.50.
Dr Edson reports influenza outbreak abroad and in New York as a bacterial illness. Cases among the Klamroth family and Miss Gertrude Kilamroth traced to Europe letters. Symptoms include eyes watering nose running and prostration with brief duration. Doctors deem not dangerous though infectious with varied foreign outbreaks in Berlin Vienna Paris Madrid London and St Petersburg.
The Players' National League of Base Ball clubs reconvened at the Fifth Avenue Hotel to approve by laws and adopt new playing rules.
