Applications Open For New Farm Feed Grain Base
Herman W. Eitmann of the Monroe County ASCS Office announced eligibility criteria for establishing a new feed grain base under the 1967 program. Eligible producers must derive 50 percent or more of income from farming this year, have at least two years feed grain experience, farm land suitable for feed grains, and no ownership in another farm with a base. Applications must be filed before March 1, and those on new bases cannot receive 1967 diversion payments but may obtain price support payments and loans after signing up and complying with program requirements.
