Colfax High prepares a Hall of Fame induction featuring authors politicians and athletes. Colfax Road Fire Prompted By Exhaust Fueling Contained Blaze
A grass fire at Lower Colfax Road and Blum Street ignited by exhaust from a car burned two acres and threatened homes with two air tankers ten engines and one helicopter called to the scene. No injuries or homes burned. a barn was destroyed. Fire officials warned liability for damages.

Kiwanis Family House expands with new 32 room facility
The Kiwanis Club foundation funds and builds a larger home to aid families of children treated at a Sacramento medical center. Since 1984 the Kiwanis Family House has served over 10 000 families. A $4 million project aims to add 32 rooms with private baths and dual kitchens funded by $1.5 million raised so far.
