Victorian dream becomes comfortable R&B getaway
Rose Mountain Manor owner Barbara Bowers quits retail marketing to run a five acre Victorian bed and breakfast outside Colfax. After a long search sparked by a real estate feature, escrow closed in September 2000 and the inn opened December 8. The venture draws church clients and regular referrals, with guests often helping maintenance tasks.
