Colfax Highlights From Beekeeping to Presidential Visit
Colfax residents learn of a National Geographic Beekeeping feature about Richard Drake and Rachel Anderson, then note Joe Chevreaux Jr winning Meadow Vista’s Community Service Award for 2003. Placer County honors include a Citizens Award for Menchen who aided in catching a murder suspect. Teddy Roosevelt visited Colfax on May 19, 1903, addressing a crowded downtown crowds via Yosemite trip.
