Susie Sventosch and Linda and Doug Mason transformed a catering venture into Drooling Dog Bar BQ at 212 N Canyon Way Colfax. Opened Jan 1 2003 after a 2001 Auburn showcase engagement proposal, the restaurant offers smoked tri tip and chicken ribs with house sauces. The Masons, active in Colfax Chamber of Commerce, promote local business and community events while serving deserts and boutique drinks to a broad regional clientele.
