Year in Review Colfax remembers leaders and losses
A year in Colfax features tributes to editor Tom Homer who died March 29, a memorial, a new medical cannabis clinic license, and Prop 213 passage. City planners, teachers, and students are honored amid fire tax votes, a diminished Fourth of July, and renovations to the old freight depot becoming Colfax R R Junction. Community figures die, a charity fire response saves homes, and Gov Schwarzenegger signs the Sierra Nevada Conservancy into law. Colfax celebrates prom king and queen, Homecoming royalty, and a comet discovery by local Don Machholz.
