Colfax Christmas spirit shines through community effort
In Colfax two days before Christmas the town unites from Iowa Hill to the Methodist Church and Meadow Vista to collect and distribute gifts and food. Local clubs and individuals organized baskets meals and toy drives delivering 125 meals and 509 toys to families. Santa and the Soroptimists aided the effort with hundreds of donations totaling about 10 000 dollars and a tradition of helping Iowa Hill for the ninth year.
