Sierra Market: A Colfax grocer with two decades of service
The Sierra Market at the corner of South Auburn and Whitcomb in Colfax has grown from Colfax Market to an 18,000 square foot store since opening on December 8, 1988. Founders Dave Stallions and Sam Newton, joined by Merva Stallions and Sher Campbell, built a loyal staff of 44, supported by customers who helped reopen after a six month wait. The partners emphasize meats, perishables, and grocery, with each owner overseeing different divisions.
