Colfax Commission backs $220000 grant for depot project
The Colfax Parks and Recreation Commission unanimously recommended to the City Council funding three community projects from a one time grant of 220000. Up to 150000 would finish the historic passenger depot interior with a project manager and cost cutting via the Depot Management Committee. A 35000 set aside would fund downtown public restrooms as a good faith gesture and merchants back the move. The final 35000 would buy land along Bunch Creek for a 50 foot wide walking path from Sierra Market to downtown.
