Homer the Colfax columnist remembered as community witness
Homer connected with all walks of life and earned wide respect for guiding Colfax forward. Daughters mourned as diverse crowd gathered at Giovanni's to honor the veteran newsman whose editorials reflected a deep love for the city. Friends noted his ability to see humanity on display from cops to artists, veterans to contractors. His legacy, they say, is the lasting effect he had on Colfax residents and the newsroom he built.
