Two unmasked men robbed Shipley the jeweler in Greencastle Thursday evening taking six watches valued at 12 to 15 dollars each. The duo fled west toward the Central National Bank after the swift 60 second heist. Officers linked suspects seen near Gardner Brothers plant and last noted crossing the Monon and Vandalia lines.

Found Dead in Field Chauncey Scott Dies at 11
Chauncey Scott an 11 year old farmer living east of Belle Union on the Archie Scott farm was found dead in a corn field last Friday around five by family. He had complained of illnesses related to epilepsy and the coroner was summoned. He leaves a wife and one son. Funeral services were held Sunday at Walnut Chapel church with burial in Walnut Chapel cemetery.

Fatal Accident at Amo Injures Two Teenagers
A foreword: At Amo last Friday night about ten o'clock the west bound Pennsylvania mail train No. 11 struck a new Ford touring car on the track. Emerson Tudor 17 died en route to hospital. Cecil Rushton 20 was severely injured. Both young men lived on the National Road south of Clayton. Tudor reportedly drove the car. Rushton suffered brain concussion. They were taken by interurban to Indianapolis hospitals. Tudor died before reaching Plainfield. Funeral was held Monday at Hazelwood Christian Church.
