Mr Charles Bloosh shared life and customs of his Liberian tribe to a good-sized audience at the Christian church last Sunday. He described tribal government and rites, sang hymns in his language, and expressed a plan to return after graduating from DePauw in June to aid his people with Christian civilization. A silver offering of nearly twenty dollars was collected, split between Mr Blooshoo and the local missionary society.

Twentieth Century Club Sees Christmas Program
The 20th Century club held its December meeting on Friday December 10 with fifteen members present. Miss Nelle Leachman read The First Snow Tree by Van Dyke and Miss Fern Wishart gave a pianologue. Frances Mark won a prize in a later contest. Santa Claus delivered gifts as holly adorned the dining table for a two course luncheon. The next meeting is a gentlemen's evening January 14 at the library.

Man Injured Load-Log Accident Near Fillmore
John Awbrey suffered a badly twisted left leg in a Monday morning accident while loading logs on a flat car near the Big Four coal chutes north of Fillmore. His foot slipped, the leg became caught between the car end and the coupling pins, and he was unable to free himself until coworkers released him. He was brought to town for treatment by Dr. C. F. Hope.

Plan by President George R. Grose of DePauw University for a summer school for young preachers to be held at DePauw was presented to eighteen district superintendents of the Methodist Episcopal churches of Indiana at the Meridian Street M E Church in Indianapolis. Phebe Elen Masten Casady born November 25 1852 died December 7 1920 at about 4 00 am. She married John Casady August 14 1868 and had seven children four surviving. Survived by husband three sons Luther Fred Manuel one daughter Lena Pruitt thirteen grandchildren two great grandchildren two sisters and many relatives. Funeral at home the first Thursday morning conducted by Rev C N McBrayer Knox and interment at LooO F Cemetery. The family thanks friends for kindness and flowers.
